Project Goals
University at Buffalo Neurosurgery (UBNS) is a leading neurosurgical group committed to providing excellence in comprehensive care, treatment, and research for neurosurgical disorders in their community. They reached out to us because they felt their website didn't truly represent the expertise and world-class environment they had to offer patients.
We set out to evolve their digital identity and continue the efforts into print materials and digital design.

UBNS
UI/UX Design
When we designed the new UI/UX for UBNS, we wanted to create a resource for patients, providers, and students. The site had to be a place different users could visit to be inspired, reassured, or educated.
We also wanted the site to be functional and easy to use, with a space to schedule appointments and sign into a patient portal. Informative resources like physician bios, patient testimonials, and more were also key to creating an educational, user-friendly experience.

Design Direction Document
After our team went through a discovery process with UBNS, we put together a design direction document outlining the new site’s anatomy, goals, and design system. [youtube id="ydWO9m8ZIpY"/]Residency Video
UBNS found it difficult to host prospective residency students for visits and tours during the pandemic. To overcome this challenge, our team created an all-encompassing video featuring testimonials from current residents, introductions to the physicians, and even a virtual tour of the facility. We shot and edited the video to make it feel like a tailored experience for potential residents who were unable to visit in person. [youtube id="cr-wxSKtYbI"/]Physician Interviews
We also filmed one-on-one interviews with physicians for videos tailored to patients. These videos gave both current and potential patients a chance to hear directly from the doctors who were performing their surgeries.
Print Materials
In addition to digital assets for the brand evolution, our creative team also developed print materials. We designed educational materials like brochures and fliers to give patients better insights into what they should expect before, during, and after their surgeries.
