Project Goals

Tomric started making high-quality polycarbonate chocolate molds in 1962. Since then, the company has evolved to become a global pioneer in the design, manufacturing, distribution, and sale of chocolate molds and similar equipment. 

They reached out to us looking for:

The new branding and products needed to reflect Tomric’s growth and presence as a worldwide leader in the confectionery and baking industries.

Brand Refresh

Tomric knew their logo was outdated, but was still widely recognized. They wanted to keep the essence of their original logo, but give it a more modern look.

We decided to simplify the brand from Tomric Systems to just Tomric because we knew that’s how most people refer to the company. The refreshed brand was designed with longevity in mind, incorporating a thoughtful new color palette that represents success, stability, confidence, and cleanliness.


Logo System

A brand refresh for Tomric also meant a refreshed logo system was in order. Our creative team updated their primary logo with the fresh color palette we chose, and made sure the new look represented the company’s history, expertise, and trustworthiness. 

We also created a fully refreshed logo system for Tomric so they had a version of their new logo for every use case.



UI/UX Design

Tomric was also looking for a new UI/UX design for their website to accompany the brand refresh. Since their current content management system (CMS) was still working for them, we settled on designing and building a custom theme for the existing site.

Our team worked together to design an informative new UI/UX that established Tomric as an industry leader. From downloadable guides and online trainings to video tutorials and glossaries, the refreshed design aimed to serve as an educational resource for users. The site also provided visitors with recommended products and an easier way to search the company’s inventory.

We developed a strategy and positioning document to outline the target audience, their challenges, and the value Tomric offers them to overcome them. The positioning document also laid out Tomric’s core promise, the goals we set for the site, and what we wanted users to feel when using it.


Design Direction Document

Our team also developed a design direction document to ensure everyone involved in the project was aligned on the goals and challenges of the website, as well as the anatomy we settled on. 

The document also included information about the refreshed digital design system we created, including the logo system, color palette, font and type hierarchy, content, and more.


Print Design

From business cards and letterheads to brochures and postcards, we designed all new print materials that followed the refreshed digital brand we created. The new prints helped Tomric provide customers with a cohesive look and feel, solidifying their trustworthiness and mission.


Trade Show Display

In addition to digital assets and print designs, we also built out a large trade show display for Tomric. The display included banners, shelving, and flags that reflected the company’s new branding and had a large presence at the show.



Tomric launched a world-class innovation center in 2018, with 9,000 square feet of space to showcase their professional chocolate-making equipment. The center also serves as an educational facility, with classes available to the public that are hosted by award-winning international pastry chefs and chocolatiers. 

We wanted to do a better job of promoting the innovation center and educating the public on the classes being offered. Our creative team shot and edited a video to inform the community of upcoming events at the innovation center. The video could also be used online, on social media, and even at trade shows to market the center.

Custom photography is a powerful tool and, if executed the right way, can effectively communicate a brand through imagery. Our creative department provided photography for Tomric’s website, email, and social media strategy to enhance designs and promote brand awareness.
