As we head further into 2020 here at Cypress North, a major focus is targeted growth. Not the traditional “just grow numbers for the sake of numbers” growth, but growth in how we serve our amazing clients. We are looking to grow better processes, management, lines of communication & most importantly – results.
This focus will allow us to add more value to our client engagements by focusing on the bigger questions:
- Where can we grow our services?
- What can we do to help you grow in overall effectiveness?
- What more can we do to help you grow your revenue?
- What more do you need to grow?
These are tough questions and the answers are no small task.
So we’ve made a big hire.
We are ecstatic to welcome Jill Fecher to the Cypress North team as our Chief Growth Officer (CGO).

Jill is a Buffalo magnate and her influence reaches into the professional and community service realms.
She’s a 15+ year agency veteran that has served SKM Group & FARM, most recently as Vice President of Client Services. She takes great pride in keeping clients happy, keeping deliverables on target and keeping overall return high.
Additionally, Jill is on the American Cancer Society Board of Advisors for Western New York and the Board of Education for the Lancaster School District.
In her off-time, Jill spends her time wrangling her three little ones and being with her family.
In this newly created position, Jill will help to streamline our processes, build out our agency structure, shore up operations, implement new training procedures, and evaluate talent, all while adding a new layer of service to our clients across the globe.

Take 5 With Jill
- How did you get your start in Marketing?
I actually went to St. Bonaventure University for business because I wanted to be an event planner. Once I was there, I started taking more marketing classes and got involved in the AAF club. My first “professional” job experience was when I got an internship at SKM Group for the summer between my junior and senior year. At the time, I still thought I was going to do events, not advertising, but I fell in love with agency life and was hired back right after graduation. I was brought in as an Account Coordinator and spent my time managing clients’ project budgets and creative revisions. From there I worked my way up on the account side and have a lot of experience in business development as well. - What do you think is the most interesting thing in your field currently?
I love reading about all of the advances being made using Artificial Intelligence. AI is fascinating because there are millions of different applications and I think it is going to shift everything in marketing over the next decade. - Give us one of your current favorite things you do on the internet.
I think I spend the most (personal) time on the internet on Instagram stories but I also can’t get through a single day without looking at IMDB.com. I find myself urgently needing to know things such as exactly how old Joaquin Phoenix is (age 45 as of yesterday) and then fall into a rabbit hole looking at every single movie he was in as well as the happenings of all of his siblings. - What is something that very few people know about you?
I just started tap dancing lessons again for the first time in 15 years and am performing in a recital in the spring. - What is one recommendation (in life) that is applicable to anyone?
I’m an eternal optimist so my advice is that “Life works out best for those who make the best out of the way life works out.”
Please help us welcome Jill to the Cypress North family, we are stoked to have her aboard! Need more Jill? We can’t blame you. Tune in to find her hosting the informative and fun Agency Scoop podcast!
